RUN/WALK/CLIMB with a PACE!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BILOXI, MS - The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to honor the final steps of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001. The Tunnel to Towers National Run, Walk & Climb Series was created to honor his final steps.

“This will be our seventh Tunnel to Towers sanctioned event,” said Tunnel to Towers Volunteer Director Justin Lopez.

“The Foundation is a nonprofit with the highest ranking from Charity Navigator and we expect around 750 participants this year,” Lopez added.

Biloxi Pro Hockey’s own chief operating officer Joe Pace is participating in this year's Tunnel 2 Towers Biloxi event, and he’s looking to bring his own twist to the 5k.

Joe Pace told us he will participate in the Tunnel 2 Towers Run/Walk/Climb 5k in full hockey gear.

"Yea, I will be in full hockey gear. I am trying to find a Sea Wolves jersey." Pace said.

We asked if he rethought about doing the 5k in full hockey gear after living in the South Mississippi humidity for a month.

"It is hot here in Biloxi, but I have trained hard and it's Fall now so I hope it gets a little bit cooler." Pace told us.

We asked what September 11th and participating in the Tunnel to Towers Biloxi 5k meant to him.

"I think September 11th means the same to every American, and I'm honored to be participating in Tunnel to Towers." Pace said.
